Terms of Business

Upon your agreement for us to carry out estimated or PreBooked work, a deposit payment of 50% of the total is payable immediately. We reserve the right to request full payment in advance at our discretion.

Upon completion of work, you will be invoiced, for which payment is due on receipt. Throne Plumbing & Heating Limited reserves the right to accrue and charge interest on any part of an invoice which remains unpaid at a rate of 8% per annum under the late Payment (Commercial Debts) Interest Act 1998  until payment is received by us in full.

 

                                                                      Contract works

Throne Plumbing & Heating Limited will not be liable for delays or disruption to contract works unless stipulated in a written and signed agreement.

Contra charges will be rejected If a withholding notice has not been issued to Throne Plumbing & Heating Limited prior to Throne Plumbing & Heating Limited submitting an Invoice for works carried out.

Section 111 (1) of GCR Act 1996 makes the giving of notice a condition precedent to a right to withhold payment beyond the final date for payment for construction contracts under the Act. To be effective the notice must be given in time and state the amounts and the grounds for withholding

Our Guarantee

If, after Throne Plumbing & Heating Limited has carried out works and the Client is not wholly satisfied with the works, then the Client shall give notice in writing within 12 months to Throne Plumbing & Heating Limited and shall afford Throne Plumbing & Heating Limited and its insurers, the opportunity of both inspecting such works and carrying out any necessary remedial works if appropriate. The Client accepts that if he/she fails to notify Throne Plumbing & Heating Limited as aforesaid then Throne Plumbing & Heating Limited shall not be liable in respect of any defects in the works carried out. The guarantee shall be for labour only in respect of faulty workmanship for 12 months from the date of completion with the manufacturer’s warranty in force. The guarantee will become null and void if the work carried out is: (a) Subject to misuse or negligence (b) Repaired, modified or tampered with by another contractor, without being Inspected by Throne Plumbing & Heating Limited first.

Throne Plumbing & Heating will accept no liability for, or guarantee, suitability, materials supplied by the Client and will accept no liability for any consequential damage or fault.

Throne Plumbing & Heating Limited will accept no liability for,or guarentee failed fittings caused by blockages after Installation.
